Arsenal and Konami extend their partnership deal

by on June 28, 2019

Konami and Arsenal have announced an extension to their long-term partnership that sees the Emirates play host to the PES League 2019 Finals this weekend.

The deal takes the partnership into a third year and will mean that Arsenal will be fully licensed in eFootball PES 2020, as well as an extensive recreation of the Emirates Stadium in the game. I can’t just leave it at that, so here’s some soundbites from the bigwigs at Konami and Arsenal:

Jonas Lygaard the Senior Director or Brand and Business Development at Konami is understandably happy: “We’re delighted to announce the extension of our long-running partnership with one of the biggest and most successful football clubs in the world. Building on our existing relationship, we look forward to working even closer with The Gunners, who will be featured extensively in eFootball  PES 2020.”

While Arsenal FC’s Commercial Director Peter Silverstone, said: “We are delighted to be extending our global partnership with KONAMI. Now in our third year, our relationship continues to go from strength to strength. We are excited to work with KONAMI to further engage our huge global fanbase and give them the opportunity to experience the players, Legends and Emirates Stadium so accurately within eFootball  PES 2020.”

PES 2020 will release on PS4, Xbox One and PC on September 10, while PES 2019 comes to PS Plus in July.
