The Sims 3 Pets – Man’s Best Friend in Life and Game

Is your Sims character feeling a little lonely? Is the virtual dating scene leaving much to be desired? What’s the next best thing you ask? How about a loyal, lovable animal friend!

EA will be introducing The Sims 3 Pets this coming October 18th. It will offer a variety of animals to choose from ranging from Cats to Dogs to even Horses. You will be able to partake in activities with your pet such as tug-o-war, fetch, or even equestrian. Check out these newly released screenshots of all the fun.

There will also be platform specific actions attributed to pets. On the console cats and dogs can be used to locate treasures or even ghosts. 3DS owners will be able to trade pets through Nintendo street pass. PC owners are not forgotten as they will be able to explore a new Western themed town.

The Sims 3 Pets is now available for preorder at the EA store and will be hitting stores October 18th for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Nintendo 3DS and for PC as an expansion.
