Brazil Now App Coming to Xbox One

by on June 2, 2014

Brazil Now is a brand new app available on the Xbox One. The app will allow you to follow all the upcoming action from the World Cup in Brazil which is due to kick off next week.

The short version is that Brazil Now is effectively a companion app for the competition, which will show you all the stats, team news and photos from the tournament. You can also watch all the games if you have One Guide (due to launch in the UK before the World Cup kicks off) set up with your TV equipment.

Perhaps the most interesting feature is that the app can run in the background and will send you notifications if the ball hits the back of the net. Holding the guide button will then take you to the app, so if playing Watch-Dogs is higher on your priority list than watching England lose again you can get all the score updates whilst hacking your way through Chicago. You can also snap the app whilst playing to have a constant stream of updates from the event.

Also announced was the Every Street United interactive reality show that sees Thierry Henry and Edgar Davids traveling the world in search of the best street footballers and getting them to play in a 4V4 game in Rio. The series will be available to watch on Xbox Video from the 15th June. You can see the trailer for the series below.
