PlayStation VitaIf you’re picking up a PlayStation Vita later this month, then be thankful that you can rely on Namco Bandai to provide you with some free content at launch for Ridge Racer, Touch My Katamari and Shinobido.

First up on Namco Bandai’s long list of free stuff is a whole heap of Ridge Racer Vita content. Those who purchase a retail copy of the game (or the digital copy before March 31st) will received a free Gold Pass, which unlocks the following content for the game:

  • Five new cars: PROMESSA, ELENIE, DIGNISTAR, FATALITA and MELTFIRE
  • Three new courses: Old Central, Sunset Heights and Lost Ruins
  • Two new music tracks: NEW SONGS PACK 01
  • One new extended music mix: LONG MIX BGM 01

This Gold Pass will also be available separately for 6.99 Euros. In addition, a Silver Pass will also be available to purchase in April, which will provide even more content, for the price of 5.99 Euros.

The final piece of Ridge Racer content is an app for the PS Vita – There is little in the way of information on this, but the press release promises an “interactive audio and video experience that will give fans a unique taste of this bold and glimmering entry into the RIDGE RACER series co-developed between NAMCO BANDAI Games Inc. and the veteran developers at Cellius in Tokyo, Japan.”

In regards to Shinobido 2: Revenge of Zen content, a free demo of the game will be available for PS Vita, offering a tutorial and one full mission. Those who buy the full game will also have the opportunity to purchase DLC including further enemies and bosses to fight.

Finally, Touch My Katamari will also be in demo form in early March, with a tutorial and one mission. There will also be a “cosmic explosion” of free and Premium downloadable content in the months after release, including new missions, music and more.
