Video Upload Studio, Twitch Integration and the Death of Microsoft Points

by on June 10, 2013

In a particularly techy segment of today’s E3 press briefing from Microsoft, we heard about some awesome stuff coming to the Xbox One, and all of it was non-game related! Well, kinda.

Sharing is massive thing these days, and it looks like it’ll be easier than ever on the Xbox One. MS revealed a partnership with video sharing service Twitch, so you’ll be able to share your gameplay experiences, LIVE, with the whole world, with just a couple of button presses. Amazing, right?

Also in this segment, a Microsoft VP talked about Upload Studio, an app that lets you edit and upload clips of gameplay. Xbox One records your gameplay experiences on the fly, just like a DVR recorder, so you can hop in, rewatch and upload at your leisure.

Oh, and they also announced the death of Microsoft Points. Xbox One will use your local currency. Finally!
