Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes’ Main Mission Is Under Two Hours Long

by on February 5, 2014

Sorry to break it to you MGS fans, but today it has emerged that the upcoming prologue to MGS:V can be completed in under two hours.

‘Judged just by the core story mission, Ground Zeroes is short,” Game Informer writes in this month’s cover story . “We completed it in just less than two hours.”

This is of course excluding the console exclusive missions, side quests and other hidden trinkets but is still pretty disappointing given the game’s £30+ asking price on next gen machines.

This makes Ground Zeroes clock in around a similar length to the opening tanker section of Metal Gear Solid 2. Considering many people shelled out full price to play that demo included with Zone Of The Enders, I guess this is slightly better value? Glass half full and all that..

I tend to expect double the length of a playthrough of a game whenever I hear/read someone online giving how long it took them. That said, even 4 hours seems measly somehow.
