PES 2018 PC specs “will be demanding, but we must push the game forward”

by on June 24, 2017

One of the biggest complains about PES 2017 (and in fact, for the last few years) has been the PC version.

After jumping to the FOX engine and new-gen consoles, PES has looked great for a few years, but the PC version never quite caught up. Now, we know that the PC version will be on par with the PS4 and Xbox One, and while the team behind PES 2018 aren’t quite ready to share specific details, PES Global Product & Brand Manager, Adam Bhatti has taken to Twitter to tell us what system the recent press demos have been running on:

Now, as you might realise, that’s a serious machine, right there. But in fairness, it’s also pretty standard for media events to showcase demos on impressive, expensive PCs.

In another tweet, Adam said:

Fans worried about those PC stats, please wait for minimum specs. However, it will be demanding. Sorry, but we must push the game forward

So while Adam says the specs will be demanding, that’s not a bad thing. We wanted PES 2018 to be amazing on PC like it sounds as though it is on PS4 and Xbox already. Our man Chris has played it, and we’ll have lots more very soon, but for those final specs, we’ll just have to wait. That said, we’d bet on needing the kind of PC that can run VR to get a good looking game. And of course, if you want 4K on any game on PC, expect to need a beefy machine.

Stay tuned for more on PES 2018.

PES 2018 will be available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC on September 12.
