As you may have read in our preview on the game, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and DC Entertainment have put together a unique take on the Batman Universe for thier upcoming download-only multiplayer first-person shooter, entitled Gotham City Impostors.  The idea behind the game is that ordinary citizens take over the roles of Batman and The Joker when they aren’t around – waging war with one another on the streets of Gotham City. Today a new CGI trailer has been released for the game, and whilst it doesn’t show off any in-game footage, it gives us a good idea of the tone of the game as a whole – unbridled insanity.

Gotham City Impostors, is scheduled for release in early 2012 for download over Xbox LIVE Arcade, PlayStation Network and on Windows PC. The expected price will be £8.99 on PSN and 1200 MS Points on XBLA.
