Resident Evil 7 gets demo update, new trailer and pre-order details

Capcom have released a whole host of new details on Resident Evil 7 detailing what’s included in the new demo update and the different editions the game will come in plus a new trailer and screenshots from the upcoming horror sequel.

Details on the upcoming update for the demo, Resident Evil 7 biohazard Teaser: Beginning Hour, were announced at Tokyo Game show today, with Capcom revealing that it has reached 3 million downloads worldwide, despite only being available to PlayStation Plus subscribers. They went on to say that a demo update will be available today, adding the “Twilight” version, allowing players to explore more of the mansion setting.

It has also been revealed that Resident Evil 7 will launch with three different editions that will soon be available for pre-order on PS4 with Xbox One and PC pre-orders to open in the coming weeks. The standard edition will cot £49.99 and simply include the game and a console theme while the Day-1 Survival Edition, costing £52.99, also offers the Survival Pack: Recovery Set, including several in game items and an additional difficulty mode. The Deluxe Edition will cost £69.99 and add the season pass on to the pile of content included in the Day-1 set.

Finally, a brand new trailer, showing off some the combat and a dinner scene featuring the disturbed Baker family, was also released today.

Resident Evil 7 biohazard will be available on January 24 for PC, Xbox One and PS4.
