MicroVolts Open Beta Starts On March 10th

MicroVolts LogoThose of you who like a little MMO-TPS (Massively Multiplayer Online Third Person Shooter, obviously) action in their lives will be pleased to hear that the Open Beta for SK iMedia’s upcoming MicroVolts begins on March 10th.

MicroVolts pits teams of toy-sized figures against each other in a human-sized world, arming them to the teeth with a plethora of inventive weapons. The game offers a large amount of customisation, ensuring that no two characters will ever look the same.

The Open Beta will feature the new game mode “Elimination”, in which downed players are out for the round. Rewarding a strategic, aggressive style of play, “Elimination” also features a “Radar” item which spawns in the middle of the map at half-time and allows the player who grabs it first to see every remaining enemy on the map.

Players can sign up for an Open Beta account on the game’s Web site. There is also an opportunity to vote for the game mode to be used for the first Open Beta Tournament here.

The two maps available in the Open Beta are “Junk Yard” and “Castle”, and can be seen in the screenshots below. The trailer shows some pretty amusing-looking gameplay footage, so be sure to check that out as well.
