Call Of Duty Fans – Get Ready For A Rezurrection

by on August 4, 2011

Activision obviously don’t want to lose any momentum in the lead-up to the release of this year’s Call of Duty title – Modern Warfare 3. The super-publisher and developers Treyarch have released a steady stream of DLC for the record-breaking Black Ops title, and that trend is set to continue, as they announce another new content pack. And this time, for the fourth map pack released so far for Black Ops, the team are ignoring conventions. Whereas all previous packs have contained four standard maps and one Zombie survival stage – this pack will purely feature five new Zombie maps.

The first four maps will be remakes of the World at War Zombies maps Nacht der Untoten, Verruckt, Shi No Numa and Der Riese. These maps were also previously included in the Hardened and Prestige limited editions of Call of Duty: Black Ops at retail. The fifth – and all-new – map is called “Moon”, which predictably from the title, sees our Zombie aggressors in Space. The pack will also provide players with an exclusive “Moon” Xbox 360 Dashboard theme as well as the official Zombies soundtrack, featuring three new tracks of music.

The pack goes live on August 23rd and will cost 1200 Microsoft Points, as have all of the Black Ops add-ons packs. But before early-adopters – who shelled out huge sums of money on the Hardened and Prestige editions of Black Ops, and expected to be the only gamers who would benefit from these extra maps – get their panties in a twist, Activision have revealed that owners of the two special edition packs will receive the Rezurrection map pack for free! By re-downloading the existing file on their Xbox, the new “Moon” level will be added to their console.
