No PlayStation Vita Outside Of Japan Until 2012
If you were excited about grabbing the exceptionally tasty looking new handheld from Sony this year, then we have some rather awful news for you. Unless you live in Japan (or are willing to import the Japanese model) then the PlayStation Vita will not be available for sale until 2012.
It does seem that most people were under the assumption that at the very least, it would be available in Japan and the USA, but it just isn’t going to happen. Mr Hirai also commented on the price point:
“We packed so much into the device and made it very affordable,” he said. “There is no need to lower the price just because somebody else that happens to be in the video game business decided that they were going to lower their price.”
