Bethesda Reveal RAGE System Requirements
Will your PC stand up to the powerful new id Tech 5 engine and run RAGE? Well that question can now be answered with Bethesda releasing the recommended and minimum system requirements via their Bethblog.
Minimum:
- OS: Win XP SP3, Vista, Win 7
- Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo or Equivalent AMD
- Memory: 2GB
- Hard Disk Space: 25GB
- Video Card: GeForce 8800, Radeon HD 4200
Recommended:
- OS: Win XP SP3, Vista, Win 7
- Processor: Intel Core 2 Quad or Equivalent AMD
- Memory: 4GB
- Hard Disk Space: 25GB
- Video Card: GeForce 9800 GTX, ATI Radeon HD 5550
As it turns out, the requirements are actually quite lenient. CPU and graphical recommendations feature relatively old hardware whilst storage requirements seem a little large. The id Tech 5 engine is either incredibly well optimised or Rage will not be as graphically impressive as firs thought, we’ll place our faith in the former and find out for sure in October.
RAGE is due for release this October 7th on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Windows PC.
