Metroid II: Return of Samus Returns Via Nintendo DownloadA bumper crop of Nintendo download releases this week, for all platforms. The big deal this week is the little seen Metroid II: Return Of Samus, but there is plenty more in store in this Thursday’s picks.

Headlining the week’s downloads is of course the 3DS Virtual Console release of Metroid II: Return Of Samus. This Game Boy title, originally released in 1992, is an incredibly underrated title, wherein the Bounty Hunter Samus Aran rids planet SR388 of the Metroid Menace. This game follows on from the classic NES title with awesomely chunky graphics, some of the most atmospheric sound on the Game Boy, and the classic Metroid gameplay you know and love. All this for the price of €4/£3.60!
