First Look – Sonic Generations

by on November 2, 2011

Welcome back to another First Look, this time around we have the latest release for one of the oldest running franchises going, (20 years in fact!) and that is Sonic Generations from SEGA. The 14 minute video clip of the game shows off the grand ideas that the Sonic Team have been waiting to show all of us and boy, they do not disappoint! The start of the clip shows its initial tutorial mode, where you get to see the side scrolling platforming action burst into three dimensions along with some incredible, eye bleeding speed.

After this you get a little bit of story, with a young Sonic (who is a bit on the quiet side) getting captured by a strange new enemy, followed by an older Sonic with all his friends celebrating at a party, only to have this same mysterious enemy show up and kidnap all of his friends. Confused? Well you’ll have to purchase the game to find out what really happens. The final part of the video clip shows the older Sonic navigating a map-like area to find missions and save his buddies, and then start the next insane level in all its intense speed, 3D shifts and awesome camera work.

Make sure you keep and eye on GodisaGeek.com for our review (currently in progress), as well as the latest trailer, but in the meantime, enjoy the clip and look forward to the next edition of First Look!

Sonic Generations will be available to purchase on the 4th November for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PC and Nintendo 3DS.
