You Can Now Become Infamous In The New Payday 2 DLC
505 Games have launched a new free downloadable content update today for Payday 2, in which they introduce the new idea of Infamy. In order to become infamous in the game players will have to first get your character to level 100, but also have at least $200,000,000 in your off-shore bank account.
After reaching those targets, you can opt to have your level and money completely reset to zero, but you will be given one Infamy level, one Infamy card, and be granted one point to spend on the new Infamy skill tree that has also launched with the update. Don’t worry, as you won’t lose everything that you worked hard to earn – guns, mods, masks and materials will be kept, but you won’t be able to use them until you reach the necessary level.
Only one level of Infamy will be open at launch, but there will be five in total eventually – although we are told that attaining more infamy levels will be very challenging. The Infamy skill points will be very sought-after though, as the equipment and other bonuses that are unlocked in this skill tree are completely exclusive to this mode.
