New Destiny Trailer Shows Strike Mission in Action

Activision and Bungie have released a new trailer for Destiny showing one of its co-operative Strike missions, titled ‘The Devil’s Lair’.

Check out the video to see the players in action. The video flits between the three classes, showing their individual battle prowess as they obliterate enemies in Mass Effect aping melting rag-dolls.

Now don’t get me wrong, I like Bungie’s work. I’d even go as far as to say I’m a ‘fan’ of Bungie’s Halo games. But doesn’t Destiny look a little, I dunno, dull?

I know it’s probably set to easy for demo purposes but those enemies look nigh on brainless. And the health bars? Kind of a turn off in my book. They irritate me in Borderlands and they already irritate me here. I was kind of hoping that Destiny was going to be more of a traditional shooter if I’m honest.

Art direction? Music? Setting? I can dig all of that, but I’m going to need to see some more inspiring gameplay before I pre-order.

Speaking of which, anyone that pre-orders from GAME will get an upgraded Sparrow (Speeder Bike). Because game balance is for sissies.
