Bungie Weekly Update Addresses Production Costs And Voiceover Issues

by on June 30, 2014

Bungie have released their latest weekly update, and in it they reveal a whole host of new Destiny information. The latest weekly update tackles rumours of spiralling production costs on the game, the hilarious voiceover issues – that was so silly that Bungie themselves released a parody T-Shirt in its honour – and more news about the forthcoming BETA phase.

The team address the costs issue as follows:

For marketing you’d have to ask Activision people, but for development costs, not anything close to $500 million. I think that speaks a lot more to the long-term investment that we’re making in the future of the product.

The BETA will begin on July 17th on PlayStation, with Xbox platforms to follow shortly thereafter, and the only way to get guaranteed access to the BETA is to pre-order your copy of Destiny from participating retailers. On top of that, the full list of Achievements/Trophies is also unveiled, along with descriptions. For all of the update – direct from the development team – click here.
