Super Mario Maker – Dev Commentary Trailer, 8-bit Amiibo and Best Buy Store Preview
A new trailer for Super Mario Maker featuring developer commentary was shown off at Nintendo’s E3 Digital Event, discussing the evolution from designing levels on paper to creating a powerful tool to build stages from the ground up.
Amiibo support was also shown off. By connecting a specific amiibo, Mario will change his costume to become the amiibo character. It was also announced that a 8-bit Mario amiibo will be available upon release. The game will also come with a booklet which will introduce players to the basics of designing their own levels.
Best Buy will also be previewing Super Mario Maker in-store across the United States and Canada on June 17 and 20.
