Limbo To Receive PlayStation 3 & Steam Releases

by on July 1, 2011

Limbo, the Xbox LIVE Arcade smash-hit game, developed by Playdead games will now find a wider audience, as it has been confirmed that the stylish platforming title will soon be making its way onto both PlayStation Network and Steam for PC and Mac, later this year. The news was seen on a Korean Ratings Board listing, where the existence of the game leaked out. Sources claim that Playdead will be handling the porting of both versions themselves, and the ports are expected to be released very soon.

It is unknown whether or not there will be any new features or bonuses included in the new versions, and Playdead Chief Executive Dino Patti refused to be drawn on the matter, stating; “We can’t elaborate more on this at this moment. We’ll have more details on it soon.” Not a denial however, so it seems that sooner or later, PC, Mac and PlayStation 3 gamers will be able to sample the eerie but impressive delights of Limbo.

Limbo is out now on Xbox 360, via Xbox LIVE Arcade.
