Wii U Hits Japan on December 8, for around 31,500 YenNintendo have finally revealed some release date and pricing information, these first details are for Japan only, but it will be out on December 8.

The price? 31,500 Yen, which converts to about £250.

There will be plenty of other details coming throughout the day, but the other major snippet is that the Wii U GamePad will also be available seperately for 13,400 Yen, which is £100-107 each. The GamePad will have 8GB of storage space, and the Wii U itself will have 32GB of internal memory, for those interested.

There will GamePad stands available too, and plenty of bundles for people who don’t already own a Wii (who are you?), but the rest of the accessories and actual game prices are in-line with current generation releases. The reason for the accessories bundle is simple: Wii U will not come bundled with a Wii Remote or Nunchuck, at least not in Japan. My Japanese is rusty, so take this with a pinch of salt, but the accessories bundle containing the Wii remote and Nunchuck also contains a Sensor Bar: Does this mean that isn’t bundled with a Wii U either? We’ll try to confirm later. Don’t panic too much either, as it’s fairly normal for Japan to not have packed-in items, whereas the USA and Europe often do.
