Finnish developer Frozenbyte has announced that Wii U launch title Trine 2: Director’s Cut is available on the eShop right now, and is 20% off until 2013. The Wii U version of the game seems to be the definitive one as it contains the Goblin Menace add-on, a Wii U exclusive level in Dwarven Caverns, along with the main campaign. Normally, the game would cost you £13.99/€16.99 on the eShop, but from now until December 31, you can pick it up for £10.99/€13.49. Frozenbyte CEO Lauri Hyvärinen said;
“The Christmas season is upon us, and we felt it was a nice little present to give the game a launch discount. I’m proud of the team and the work we’ve done for Wii U. The game plays smooth and looks gorgeous, and the touch screen adds an element to the game that makes it very intuitive. We received tremendous positive feedback from North American gamers and we are happy to bring the game so soon to Europe and be part of the European launch. We believe we have created one of the best launch games for the already excellent Wii U launch lineup, and we can’t wait to hear the feedback!”
A Christmas discount is always welcome amongst gamers. You’ll be able to read our review of the game, very soon.
