StarCraft II Collectors Edition In The Wild

by on July 7, 2010

In the wild, that’s how the guys over at CVG have reported a leaked copy of StarCraft II’s collectors edition, the video below shows the contents of a collectors edition being pawed over by a breathless gamer. The game is not officially out until July 27, no one knows how this gamer has obtained a copy almost 3 weeks earlier than planned but there is speculation that the gamer may be an employee of a retailer, or even a factory worker. It is common for retail shops to stock games ahead of release but not always this early, big titles such as StarCraft II tend to arrive in stores much closer to release.

The collectors edition includes a 176-page book featuring artwork from the game, an exclusive 2GB USB flash drive replica of Jim Raynor’s dog tag, a behind-the-scenes DVD, a soundtrack CD, a comic, an in-game pet, exclusive DLC, and more.

Unfortunately for this gamer Blizzard will not let you install the game before 27.07.2010, I guess phase 2 of the beta will have to do for now.

Remember to check out our StarCraft II Preview here.
