Sony PlayStation Move Has Sold 4.1 Million Units Worldwide

by on November 30, 2010

Sony have just announced that their PlayStation Move motion controller has sold 4.1 million units worldwide in the 2 short months it has been available!

This news is hardly surprising though, as you can tell from our review of the peripheral here, the device is extremely precise, easy to use and has excellent build quality. Being able to buy everything seperately makes it easy to cater to individual needs as well.

With new titles incorporating Move support as well, such as Killzone 3 (Eurogamer Expo Impressions here), Virtua Tennis 4 (3D and Move impressions here) and The Sly Collection as well as older titles like Heavy Rain (review here) getting Move support patched in, it’s likely that these high sales figures will continue!

“PlayStation Move offers more than 25 supported/dedicated titles for Europe/PAL territories up to date with vast line-up of software titles from all genres and all types of audiences.  Some of the successful titles include Sports Champions, Start the Party, EyePet Move Edition, MAG, SingStar Dance and more.  Upcoming PlayStation Move titles include the platform-defining franchises like Killzone 3 and LittleBigPlanet 2 that will further establish PlayStation Move as the must have motion experience for casual and hard-core gamers alike.”
