Mortal Kombat Demo Hitting PSN Next Week

by on March 3, 2011

“Get over here…FINISH HIM!”, these are the words some of you lucky PS3 owners will be hearing next week when the demo for the highly anticipated fighter, Mortal Kombat, hits the PlayStation Network. The demo will be available to PlayStation Plus subscribers on March 8th whereas “standard” PlayStation Network members will be able to download it, a week later, on March 15th. Bizarrely, no date has been given for the Xbox 360 version of the demo, but we expect it will hit Xbox LIVE soon after.

Gamers who choose to download the demo (who wouldn’t?!) will be able to play as Scorpion, Sub-Zero, Mileena or Johnny Cage in two of the games most renowned arenas, the Living Forest and the Pit. The demo will feature the arcade ladder, which can be played on your own or with a friend.

Mortal Kombat is set to be released for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on April 19th in North America and April 21st in Europe.
