Super Meat Boy Getting Stuffed With 140 New PC Levels

by on April 5, 2011

Team Meat have announced a belly-busting new pack of levels for their punishing independent platforming title, Super Meat Boy. The new add-on pack is entitled “Super Meat World” and becomes available to players once they have collected 20 bandages in the regular game. The add-on consists of eight new chapters, which include over 140 new stages between them. It is a free level pack for PC users, which will act as a portal through which the team will allow players access to new levels developed by Team Meat and guest developers, and will also feature user-generated content in the future.

The level editor which will allow users to make their own stages will also be a PC-only release and on their blog Team Meat state that it is already “being rigged to Steam, and will soon be released as a public beta… Super Meat World is a work in progress. More features will be added as time passes.” Continuing the sense of giving, the full game will be available from Steam with 50 per cent off the usual price from today. With a deal like that, and the promise of endless new levels to both entertain and frustrate, there is no better time to enter the world of Super Meat Boy.

Super Meat Boy is out now on Xbox 360, and PC. We at Godisageek are big fans of the title, so why not read our review and see why we gave it a well-deserved 10/10.
