Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker HD will feature Four Player Co-Op Online

Hideo Kojima has come out and stated – via his Twitter account – that the High Definition version of Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 will feature an online Co-op mode, for up to four players. He mentions that the co-op mode will also play at 60 frames per second, even in online play. In his Tweet, he included a picture of himself and several other team members playing the game across four monitors. The image shows the in-game loading screen, that features randomly displayed character quotes from the series.

It has yet to be confirmed whether or not the co-op mode will be playable offline – in split-screen for instance, but more information on the game is expected to be announced at the Yokyo Game Show, which will be running between the 15th and 18th of September. Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker HD will accompany the Metal Gear Solid HD Collection. The Collection is due for release in November on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
