UK Charts – Forza Motorsport 4 is the New Champion
This week’s UK Charts sees a little bit of a shakeup compared to normal, with new entry Forza Motorsport 4 (which scored 10/10 here) shooting straight to the top of the charts, and Just Dance 3 not far behind it in third place.
Also in the top five is PES 2012, which actually enters in fifth place, behind FIFA12 in second. If you’ve read our review of PES 2012 you’ll know that it is a real contender this year, so go and grab it, you won’t be disappointed. Dark Souls only drops to seventh place as well, whilst Ace Combat: Assault Horizon (which scored a favourable 8/10 in our review) enters at number twelve.
Dead Rising 2: Off The Record must have caught the attention of fans as well as our reviewer (who scored it 7/10 here), because it too enters inside the top twenty for it’s debut week, at number 14. We’ve no idea why Mario Kart Wii has jumped back into the top twenty either, but otherwise as usual you can click the name of the release to see our review or coverage, and scroll down to see the individual SKU table for the UK Charts.

Onto this weeks individual SKU chart, which shows the interesting fact that PES 2012 on PlayStation 3 clearly outsold the Xbox 360 version by some distance. It’s also worth noting that the Xbox 360 version of a game continues to outsell most PlayStation 3 counterparts (the PES 2012 example aside) even showing that Dead Rising 2: Off The Record on PS3 doesn’t even enter the top 20. For those wondering, it actually placed 31st!
Ace Combat: Assault Horizon is just outside the top 20 on both formats, which is intruiging – as popular opinion seems to be that you don’t need to sell many copies to force your way into the top 20.
