Call of Duty: Black Ops II - 12 Spanking New Multiplayer Screens!Wanna see some shiny new Black Ops II screenshots? Wanna see what some of the new multiplayer maps will look like? Wondering if the zombies still have glowing eyes? Well, we’ve got you covered.

We’ve got 12 brand new screenshots of one of the most hotly-anticipated games of this year’s jam-packed Winter release schedule, ten of which focus on the revamped multiplayer and two of which show off a few shambling deadites itching for a boomstick haircut.

Treyarch are pushing the envelope this year in a lot of ways, perhaps trying to avoid the “Oh, another CoD update” trolls that come out of the digital woodwork every year. For a start,  BlOps II is set in the year 2025, Ghost Recon-stlye, and features a host of futuristic tech like quad-rotor drones and sniper scopes that pick up heat signatures. But Treyarch have also made signiuficant changes elsewhere.

For example, the Create-a-Class system has been reworked, so that now instead of being forced to choose one perk from each category, you’re able to mix and match much more freely, allowing for many more unique combinations and catering more precisely to varying play-styles. Similarly, Kill-streaks are now Score-streaks, which might raise a grumble or two – but the reasoning is sound. Now you’ll be rewarded for team-specific actions or putting paid to certain players and certain objectives.

Add to that the new “CodCasting” system which turns each match into a spectator sport complete with colour commentary and the option to livestream events, and Black Ops II is looking like the most complete Call of Duty package to date.

Oh, and Zombies makes a return, but this time with its own campaign and a much more considered multiplayer aspect, allowing for 8-player dust-ups and several new modes: Tranzit, which combines several multiplayer maps and requires you to travel between them to complete objectives; and Grief, which pits 4 players as soldiers against 4 players as zombies  in a fight to the death.

Check out the screenshots below, salivate, and wish it was November already.
