Defiance Gets Confirmed European Distribution from Namco Bandai
The latest title from Trion Worlds – who usually specialise in the MMORPG genre – is going to be a massively multiplayer online shooter game, entitled Defiance, which is also based on the SyFy channel series of the same name.
The game is set for a North American release on April 1st, and no European release had been confirmed previously. But now Trion Worlds can happily announce that they are teaming up with Namco Bandai to distribute the game across Europe, where it will be released on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC.
Both the game and the series are based in the San Francisco Bay area in the near future, and are concerned with a Science Fiction story where an Alien race known as the Votans have come to Earth seeking refuge, but almost inevitably a conflict between the Humans and the Aliens breaks out. The game and the series are being developed concurrently and will launch at more or less the same time – making Defiance unique as very few games have ever been developed quite like this.

Defiance is due to be released this April on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Windows PC.
