Back in February there were leaks that pointed to Splinter Cell: Blacklist being a Wii U title and today, The Big N has confirmed it.
We’ve learned through Polygon that the game is coming to Nintendo hardware on Auguest 20 in North America, August 22 in Europe and August 23 in the UK, the Wii U GamePad will be an integral part of the gameplay as players use their second screen to operate Sam Fisher’s tools, navigate their environments, switch weapons and more, no doubt.
Many are quick to put down the Wii U – including Deep Silver who have said that they’re not entertaining the thought of releasing their games on the platform. The console has some potential, admittedly it’s yet to reach that.
Early adopters of the system can only hope that we see more third parties support it, rather than pooh-pooh it.
