Rumours circle of the tactical shooters cancellation as the title is removed from US retailers database.
It’s been a while since we’ve heard anything from Ubisoft concerning the next entry in the Rainbow Six series of games. Rainbow 6 Patriots debuted in 2011, but Ubisoft has spoken about the title very little since then. Today rumours are circling the Tom Clancy game’s cancellation, as US retailer GameStop “actively flipped a switch” to remove the title from its system, according to a source close to IGN.
GameStop does not remove big-name titles from the big guns of the gaming world without official confirmation from the horse’s mouth stating the title is dead, the source said. It could just be that the game has met a significant delay, perhaps even pointing to a next-gen release rather than a release on current gen consoles.
We will probably learn more at E3, so watch this space.
