Apocalypse, the final piece of Call of Duty: Black Ops II DLC will be released on XBLA on August 27th.
No release date has been given for the eventual PSN and PC releases of the new content.
Apocalypse will feature four new multiplayer maps and zombie campaign Origins, which will delve into… well, the origins of the zombie mode’s infected hordes.
Set in World War I-era France Origins follows Tank, Nikolai, Takeo and Rictofen, the heroes from the original Zombie map, as they discover that the Germans have unearthed something referred to as “Element 15”.
Oh, and there’s a giant mech because videogames.
The four multiplayer maps consist of Pod, a derelict Taiwanese compound; Frost, a snowy European villa; Takeoff, a small, enclosed remote launch site and Dig, an adaptation of World at War’s Afghanistan-set map Courtyard.
