Nintendo accidentally launched a trailer for The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD’s Hero Mode that has what appears to be a limited edition Gamepad in its parting shot.
The system’s Gamepad is emblazoned with gold filigree, similar in style to the Zelda 3DS that was released alongside Ocarina of Time 3D in 2011.
This was spotted by NeoGAF and, reading through their comments, the tattooed pad has sparked a good deal of interest.
Hero mode, meanwhile, makes Wind Waker a smidgen more challenging by doubling damage taken, and removing heart pickups from the world. This is welcome, as the original Wind Waker falls rather on the easy side of things. And by falls I mean collapses, never to consider budging from its sedate pace.
Hero Mode will be available from the moment you turn on the game.
The trailer is pasted below. Hopefully it sticks around. In case it doesn’t, keep eyes on GAF!
