Nintendo Treating British 3DS owners to National Streetpass Day

by on September 16, 2013

If your 3DS Mii has been feeling lonely recently,  National StreetPass Day may be the perfect remedy. With Nintendo-organised events taking place at London’s Waterloo Station and Manchester’s Piccadilly Station on 28th September, a good turn-out of social 3DS gamers is almost guaranteed.

Of course, as the name suggests, the main thrust of the event is boosting StreetPass hits — especially useful if, like me, you live in the middle of nowhere. However, there is more on offer than this alone.

The event also offers competitions in Luigi’s Mansion 2 and Mario Kart 7, with exclusive Nintendo prizes for the winners. As well as this, there will be real life recreations of popular StreetPass games, such as Puzzle Swap, and photo opportunities with costumed chaps masquerading as cuddly Nintendo characters.

National StreetPass Day will be taking place all day from 9am at Waterloo Station, London, and Manchester Piccadilly on the 26th September. There will also be a StreetPass Day presence at the Eurogamer Expo, where you can grab a free Mario hat.
