Sony Details Bloodborne Multiplayer Features

by on March 6, 2015

As Bloodborne approaches it’s March 25th release date, Sony has spilled the beans on what we can expect from the games multiplayer, and it looks like Bloodborne will bring far more to that table in terms of multiplayer options than either of it’s ‘spiritual predecessors’.

Bloodborne will bring with it a co-op mode that will allow up to three players to group together and take on the darkness. The idea being that you invite other players over to help defeat any one of the games bosses. These dudes must be mean!

Player vs player in Bloodborne are one on one bouts that take place in pre-decided areas. The player being invaded acts as the host for the bout, while the person doing the invading is the guest. A PvP match is started when the guest uses the “Ominous Resonant Bell” item to invade another players game. The unsuspecting host has either started a co-op session or used an Ominous Resonant Bell as well to trigger the appearance of a Bell Chiming Woman (I know, WTF, right?). The angry guest then proceeds to invade the host’s game instance, where the two can battle it out.

Sony confirmed that a PlayStation Plus subscription will be required for multiplayer in Bloodborne, although that isn’t really news. There will be an update on launch day that will need to be applied before you can hop online. That isn’t really news either, is it?

Stay tuned to GodisaGeek, as we will be all over Bloodborne like a masochist in a warzone when the game finally launches on March 25th.
