Metal Gear Solid launches online
Konami Digital Entertainment has announced that the dedicated, squad-based multiplayer Metal Gear Online is now live.
Servers for all console versions are now online and the patch for Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is available for download. Players should see the online component visible from the main menu.
Players familiar with the previous iteration in Metal Gear Solid IV will see the squad-based mode fully re-designed with the familiar gameplay and aesthetic of the series. The online element introduces Tactical Team Operation and features a class system that reflects the strengths and abilities of the individual player.
In addition, all collectible and day one DLC is redeemable today.
Players on PC can expect the online mode around January time next year.
