New Konami partnership brings the International Champions Cup to PES

Konami has partnered up with the International Champions Cup to bring players and agents from the tournament to PES 2018’s myClub.

PES has always been behind because of the lack of licensing compared to its big rival FIFA, so Konami go out of their way to sign deals with other tournaments and individual clubs to get the kind of information that players want to see. As part of the deal between Konami and the ICC, Konami will sponsor the tournament itself and people in the tournament will be available within myClub and also due to be expanded into other modes further down the line.

For those not in the know, the ICC is a pre-season tournament for teams to enter so that players can start getting over their holiday malaise in competitive matches. This years is being graced with the likes of Barcelona, Real Madrid, Paris St. Germain, Manchester City and Manchester United.

PES easily plays the better game of football, and moves like this brings PES just that little bit closer to giving football fans what they want in regards to fully licensed teams. It’s due out September 12 in the Americas and September 14 everywhere else.
