City Interactive Reveal a Sniper: Ghost Warrior Game for iOS Devices

City Interactive today revealed that a new addition to the Sniper: Ghost Warrior franchise is in development for iOS. Due for release in Q1 2012, Sniper: Ghost Warrior for iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch will translate all the intense long-range precision gameplay of its console counterpart to tablet and mobile.

Currently in development at Vivid Games, based in Bydgoszcz in Poland, Sniper: Ghost Warrior for iOS will be built on Unreal Engine 3 from Epic Games. The project – a fully-fledged AAA product – will make use of the Apple device’s unique control interface to bring handheld gamers even closer to the feeling of being an elite and unseen military marksman.

City Interactive’s Global PR & Marketing Manager Jonathan Goddard said: “Sniper: Ghost Warrior” has proven to be a huge commercial success and we have high hopes for its sequel on console and PC, which is due for release early next year. This new project is being developed from the ground up specifically for iOS devices, which we feel are perfectly suited to the crafting of a truly great sniping experience.”

The iOS Sniper: Ghost Warrior game is currently due for release in Q1 2012. We’ll bring you more information as we get it.
