21 Year Old Gets a Managing Job Because of His Football Manager ExperienceYou may not have heard of FC Baku before, but in Azerbaijan’s Premier League, the football club have won the title twice and their domestic cup, three times. If you’re unaware of FC Baku’s exploits, you’ve hardly heard about their “A” team. Well, you’re about to.

Vugar Huseynzade is now FC Baka A’s  full time manager, according to Yahoo!. Huseynzade isn’t exactly a household name in the world of football – he’s a 21 year old student from Sweden. Huseynzade’s main experience comes from SEGA’s terrific Football Manager series. It’s only fair to mention that he spent some time with a sports agency in the US, too. But, we like to think that Football Manager was defining factor.

When speaking with Scandanavian newspaper Aftonbladet, Huseynzade said, “I’ve always wanted to work in football and have played Football Manager since 2002”. If he held out a little bit longer, Roman Abramovich might have come knocking.

We’ve all experienced heartbreak and triumph with the game and some of us may have even worn a shirt and tie to the FA Cup final (which I only did once),  but to actually pick up a real job? Bravo, Vugar. Bravo.
