More Borderlands 2 DLC Out This Autumn

After initial thoughts that the final piece of downloadable content for Borderlands 2 would be Tiny Tina’s Assault on Dragon Keep, Gearbox head Randy Pitchford revealed more would be coming and that was revealed at the inaugural PAX Australia.

Through Gamespot, we’ve learned that Gearbox announced the Ultimate Vault Hunter Upgrade Pack 2 which will bump the level cap up by 11 (which will make it 72) and include a new Digistruct Peak challenge – a new map, new loot and the ability to “over level” Borderlands 2 in order to make the game more challenging to skilled players. This is scheduled to be released some time this Autumn, is not included in the season pass and will cost $5.

Not stopping there, the studio also revealed another add-on that is not part of the season pass; T.K Baha’s Bloody Harvest – a DLC pack that will see the aforementioned Baha returning to the fold(originally in original Borderlands DLC, The Zombie Island of Dr. Ned). As well as that, players will face off against pumpkin based boss Jacques O’ Lantern in this DLC that’s also scheduled to be released in the Autumnal months.

Finally, a free update to the game will give players the ability to carry more ammo, have a larger backpack and bank slots.

The team working on all of this extra content is also said to potentially get cracking on at least one, possibly two, more DLC packs after the just announced downloadable content.
