Intel Extreme Masters Heading to Cologne, Taipei and Katowice

The ESL has today announced three new Intel Extreme Masters events that will take place over the coming months.

The first event will take place just three weeks after the Intel Extreme Masters San Jose event. This event will run from December 18th – 21st in Cologne Germany, at the ESL Studios. The Intel Extreme Masters Cologne event will feature a $30,000 League of Legends competition.

The next IEM event will take place in Taipei, running from January 28th – February 1st 2015. The event will coincide with the Taipei Game Show. This event will feature both LoL and StarCraft II: Heart of the Swarm.

The final stop in the Intel Extreme Masters series will be in Katowice, Poland. The event will run from March 12th – 15th 2015 and will feature an eight-team LoL tournament with entrants from Asia, Europe and America along with a StarCraft II tournament. The total prize money up for grabs will be over $200,000.

Michal Blicharz, Managing Director Pro Gaming at ESL, had this to say about the newly announced IEM events.
