E3 2016: Microsoft announces cross-play system called Play Anywhere

Microsoft has announced their Windows 10 and Xbox One cross-play system titled Play Anywhere, allowing players on both platforms to share multiplayer servers and play together.

Gears of War 4 has been announced as the first title to support the feature, and buying one copy of either the Xbox One and Windows 10 version will allow players access to the other. It is expected that more games announced during the conference will boast the feature.
