Eurogamer Expo 2009

It’s Monday and the God is a Geek crew are still recovering from a hectic Halloween weekend! We didn’t dress up in funky outfits and pour fake blood all over our faces, oh no. We attended the annual Eurogamer Expo in London on Friday and Saturday.

Every year this event just seems to get better and better. This year the expo was based in the old fish market near Monument/LDN Bridge. The venue was huge, with three floors backed full of games, workshops and talks. There were more playable unreleased titles than ever before, so we have a lot to talk to you about.

We recorded a live podcast at the event – our first video podcast – which we’ll be releasing this week. We’ll also be recording our regular fortnightly audio podcast later this week, for a release early next week.

Our ‘Game of the Event’ was awarded to Heavy Rain. This title offers a lot of variety in the storyline, which is exciting. No two players have the same experience – somethings games companies have been trying to produce for a long time.

So watch this space for our podcasts. For now, here are a few photos of the event.
