Tecmo Koei show off Debut Trailer for Dead or Alive 5
Tecmo Koei and Team Ninja have brought us many instalments of the fighting game Dead or Alive over the years. The series even made its way into 3D on the Nintendo 3DS and had its own spin-off Movie, starring Holly Valance. However, now the development team are going back to what they do best – beat-em-ups with slightly suspect upper-chest physics! In celebration of that fact, Tecmo Koei have today released the debut trailer for the new game, Dead or Alive 5, which was shown off at the Tokyo Game Show.
However, you might be surprised to see there are no ladies or bouncing on display in the video, as we see the Ninja Ryu – the protagonist of the Ninja Gaiden series – go toe-to-toe with Hayate on the rooftop of a Skyscraper, which begins to collapse, with a cliff-hanging ending. It is unknown whether environmental destruction such as that seen in this trailer will make it in to the final game – however it does help build your excitement.

Dead or Alive 5 is due for release in 2012 on both Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
