Bioshock Infinite’s North American Box Art is Pretty Uninspired

Bioshock Infinite's North American Box Art is Pretty UninspiredOne of the biggest games of next year will undoubtedly be Bioshock Infinite. The original Bioshock is held in such high regard by many as one of the greatest video games of this generation, possibly ever. The box art for Infinite is pretty so-so, though.

We saw this on Destructoid and felt you might like to have a look, too. It’s not that it’s necessarily awful, it just looks very generic. On the cover is what appears to be the main character Booker DeWitt, standing in front of a burning flag and holding a gun. His cravat thing is fetching, though.

If 2K Games and Irrational Games put a picture of an ostrich holding an appletini on the cover, this would sell. With such an established name, I don’t think it matters all that much.

It must also be said that this is the North American box art, and traditionally us Europeans receive more creative game sleeves. I’m sure Americans think something more interesting would be welcome, of course, but I don’t doubt that they’re still itching to play it, just like us.
