Journey Score Deservedly Scoops Grammy Nomination

Journey-Score-Deservedly-Scoops-Grammy-NominationJourney is undoubtedly one of the finest games of 2012 – thatgamecompany’s splendid effort scooped a great score here on GodisaGeek.com and has enchanted gamers worldwide with its ethereal, exploratory gameplay. Now officially the best selling PSN release of all time, it also happens to have an incredible musical score chock full of haunting compositions courtesy of composer Austin Wintory, which has been made available on iTunes (where it topped the hit parade) or as a special edition collectors box.

Journey has been extremely well reviewed across the games media – and has now been nominated for a Grammy Award in the category Best Score Soundtrack For Visual Media – where it goes up against the excellent recent Tintin movie, Oscar winning silent movie homage The Artist, Christopher Nolan blockbuster The Dark Knight Rises. The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo and Scorcese’s stunning Hugo. I am sure you will agree with me when I say that is some impressive company, and I wish Wintory and the Journey crew luck when the 55th Grammy Awards takes place on February 10, 2013.
