After the huge success of their Kickstarter campaign, those eagerly awaiting their GameStick consoles will have to wait a little longer than they thought.
When first planning for the GameStick, the company aimed to produce 1,000 consoles using silicon moulds. However, with orders from Kickstarter and various retailers inflating that number, “higher end tooling” from Germany and China is needed. On top of that, the company was going to ship GameSticks via air-freight, but due to the high price, they will now ship via sea-freight.
Without any other setbacks, the consoles will be in transit from about June 10 and those who pledged enough money for the relevant reward tier will get their brand new GameSticks in late June.
