Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition Coming to Disc for Retail Purchase

by on May 1, 2013

Could Minecraft get any bigger? Seriously, this is an impressive achievement, not only has Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition continually sold gangbusters, but now we’ve just received word from Microsoft that it’s being released as a disc-based game, for purchase through retail.

Available from June 28th, you can buy the game, and it even includes a free 48-hour subscription to Xbox LIVE.

You might be wondering “Why?” – but not every owner of an Xbox 360 is connected to the internet, so this is superb news for those people, as well as people who just want to own a copy of the game for their collection. Just for the record, this information pertains to the UK market, so we’re not sure if it’ll come to retail in North America just yet.

Will you be grabbing the disc-based version for your collection? Let us know in the comment section below.
