Halo Programmer Jumps Ships From Xbox One To PlayStation 4

by on November 25, 2013

Corinne Yu – one of the principal engine programmers who worked on Halo 4 for 343 Industries when they took over the franchise from Bungie – has jumped across the next-generation divide and has left the Microsoft umbrella to join the studio that brought us The Last Of Us and the Uncharted series, Naughty Dog.

Allgamesbeta report that she will work as a graphical programmer on PlayStation 4 projects for the studio – the details of which are yet to be revealed. The fact that a new Uncharted game is now in development for PlayStation 4 was recently revealed however, so there is a good chance that Corinne may be moving directly from one mega-blockbuster series in Halo, straight onto another.

This of course isn’t massive news, as programmers move from company to company quite regularly, but this is perhaps a more high-profile departure than we are used to seeing – especially with a new Halo game on Xbox One also in the works.
